We have a variety of walks throughout the week to suit all ages and abilities.

Monday Walks : Leisurely walks for the over 60s. These are normally between two and four miles with mud, stiles and hills kept to a minimum - and a hostelry included whenever possible! Check for times and details from the poster in Llanelli library or contact Pauline or Peter on 01554 770077. Bring your bus pass!

Wednesday walks: These are the most popular walks, with up to 50 ramblers out most Wednesdays. The walks are generally shorter than the weekend walks, and may be taken at a slower pace.

Thursday evening walks: Take place from May to August. These walks are local and fairly short. All ages are welcome. Come along as a family for a healthy, social evening of enjoyment.

Weekend walks: Are usually longer and more strenuous, suitable for the more experienced rambler. These walks can be local, but are often further out in the Welsh countryside.

All walks are led by members of the group. If you'd like to try a walk with us, pick out a walk from the programme which is suitable for your level of fitness and contact the walk's leader so that he or she knows to look out for you.

Walks Grading

The gradings are intended as a rough guide to the level of difficulty of each walk. If you have any doubts about the suitability of any walk, please contact the walk leader for further information.

A. Strenuous walks, mostly mountains with some scrambling, stream crossing and bog hopping. Recommended for experienced walkers only

B. Fairly strenuous. For the reasonably fit. Usually includes high-level hill walking. A walk may also be classed as a B grade if it is particularly long

C. Moderate walking on hills and moorland and coastal paths. Some ups and downs

D. Easy, quiet country roads, footpaths and lanes. Suitable for everybody
