2017 Festival of Walks
The 2017 Festival of Walks – the 22nd since its small beginnings in 1995 – took place over the late Spring Bank Holiday weekend and proved to be another successful event in the Llanelli Ramblers calendar, despite a mixed bag of weather with varying amounts of rain on the Saturday, sunshine on Sunday and low cloud for the hill-walkers on Monday. The walks were varied, as can be seen on the programme to be found on the Archive page of this website, and were well received by the many visitors and members who took part.
Thanks go to all those volunteers who organised, led and back-marked the walks, to the Festival Committee, not forgetting the Welsh Tea Ladies who provided a magnificent spread for the returning walkers at the end of the Festival.
Thanks too to our three local authorities – Llanelli Town and Rural Councils and Pembrey & Burry Port Council – to Cotswold Outdoors and the Principality Building Society, for their ongoing support for the Festival.
Preparations for the 2018 Festival are underway and as soon as it is ready the programme will appear on this page with all the details needed to plan and book your festival weekend.
